Bones For Glory

I don’t know if anyone else noticed, but. . . so far, in the NFL season, I am almost certain a player has broken a bone each week, and we are now entering the 8th week. My timeline may be a little off, but in general, if you look at the players who have broken a bone, it isn’t good for their teams.

RB: David Johnson – Cardinals

RB: Darren Sproles – Eagles

TE: Greg Olsen – Panthers

DE: JJ Watt – Texans

WR: Odell Beckham – Giants

QB: Aaron Rogers – Packers

QB: Carson Palmer – Cardinals

There may be a few other names that I am not even aware of that have broken something, but I got to say that I am impressed that, seemingly, every week a player has broken a bone. This is only one type of injury though. The number of players that are currently out due to muscle tears, strains, and such, is staggering. Injuries are a factor of every sport, but I am honestly just surprised at how many players have broken something, and then how many of those injuries have been season ending. I don’t think there is anything to be done about it, but it is something to notice.
