Little late, but better late than never. So with that, THANK YOU MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL! I know I am not the only one who was hurting in week one of football. The games were stagnant on Sunday; field goal, after field goal, after field goal. I couldn’t decide if it was a game of defense, or terrible offense.
Whatever the case, Monday night brought back the electricity. Touchdowns were scored, field goals were kicked in crucial desperation moments, and plays were made to keep the games close. The Broncos vs. Chargers game is really the topic at hand here. While the Saints vs. Vikings game was very entertaining with Sam Bradford’s quick passing, and Stefon Diggs’ impressive catches and touchdowns, the Broncos vs. Chargers was a nail bitter.
The most impressive fact I heard while watching the Broncos vs. Chargers, was that the Broncos scouting team had a plan in dealing with Charger kicker, Younghoe Koo. The scouts had found that Koo had a low trajectory over the A gap of the line. The defensive line was then loaded heavy on the A gap, and blew the gap up, blocking the field goal! This led to the Broncos win over the Chargers, and if that isn’t just something cool coming out of this game, then I’m not sure what is.
So thank you again Monday Night Football. Thank you for coming through, and closing week one out with a bang.
